Salta is situated in one of the most fertile and nicest sites ever created by nature in this region. Located at 1,187 meters above sea level, at the bottom of Mounts 20 de Febrero and San Bernardo. The Hispanic architecture of the city outstands from the other cities in the country. The colonial spirit from the times of the foundation remains in its houses, streets, hundred-year-old monuments and narrow sidewalks surrounded by the mountains nearby.

This area holds the largest indigenous population of the country, trait that is reflected in the language - half of the population also speaks Qichua -, the music and many of the traditions that are celebrated. It is an area of major prehispanic ruins, from Indian fortresses to cave paintings but also an area containing some of the most beautiful examples of this country's colonial past such as imposing cathedrals - like the Salta Cathedral - or enchanting chapels hidden amongst the hills.

Humahuaca is situated in the west of Jujuy Province and at 2,939 meters above the sea level . Worldwide known due to the imposing Quebrada de Humahuaca, professed as Humanity Heritage by UNESCO, shows a heavenly landscape where Río Grande flows and where great archaeological beds are found in colourful hills.
